Daily Gratitude

What daily practice do I do and love? What comes to me first is my Daily Gratitude.  I have been consistently giving gratitude for over 25 years even before Oprah, but watching her teach it one day on her show just encouraged and reinforced my practice.  The reason I have been so consistent is because it’s so EASY!

I have been a huge journal junkie all my life and it is fun to look back to see how far you’ve come.  Many times the smallest things turn to be the best parts in your life and for that I am incredibly grateful for.

At first, I would journal every night at bedtime, right in bed, 5 things I was grateful for in that day.  I had my family doing the same, reluctantly but after it was effortless for all of us.

Yet, there are times when journaling was just not  in me, I was tired and I would wake up in a bit of a panic realizing I forgot my gratitudes.  So, I began the same practice in morning!

Today, I find time in the morning as I wake and in the evening before I sleep to write or speak of my gratitutes of the day, including  sending out love and healing to my loved ones.  Many of you will find yourself saying or thinking how grateful you are for the things in your life through out your day once this has become a regular staple in routine.

The more grateful you are for the things and experiences you have in this life, you will end up with having more come your way.  The Universe is great that way!  The key to life; to be happy with what you have and not what you don’t think you have my father once said.  I realize that this might be challenging in some cases, yet every day you can find at least 3 things to be grateful for whether it’s a warm bed to sleep in, your breathe, perhaps it’s someone special to you or you had a great customer today or even your pet.

Take the few moments to focus on what you are grateful for and see how absolutely powerful and transformative this small daily practice can be!

Thank you my friends for all your love and support.  I am also grateful for my health, the abundance in my life, and without a doubt the amazing family I have been blessed with!

9 Most Common Signs of Communication from Spirit

You certainly don’t need to be a Medium to experience signs from your loved ones. Our Spirit family and friends often attempt to get our attention with signs that they are close.  The most common time you may sense or see or hear Spirit trying to communicate is when you are alone. Perhaps just waking or in a full dream state; however, communication can be anywhere and anytime. They want to give us guidance and comfort, never intending to scare or frighten. My advice is to be open and acknowledge these signs from whom they are coming from. Most of us intuitively know who is there by one of the signs received. Accept the love and support that Spirit sends – they feel your love towards them, hear you talking to them, and love seeing you in your dreams.

♥ Dreams are the most common of way to be visited by those in Spirit.  The dream experience feels very real with clear messages or conversations, which offer the dreamer comfort that their loved one is well and close by.♥ Touch or feeling Spirits presence is also very common after your love one has passed. We are all made of energy and Spirits’ energy can be felt in a number of ways. Some have said they feel the touch on their shoulder; the air in the room may change to be cooler or warmer without a door being open, or sensing someone sitting next to you while watching television.  Sometimes, if you are thinking of someone who has passed, you may get goose bumps, which is a sign they have popped into say “Hi!”  When I was growing up, after feeling a cold shiver, we would say, “Someone just walked over my grave,” knowing someone who passed away was close and checking in.♥ Animals signs are extremely common and heart-warming when recognized and received. Butterflies are beautiful creatures and are signs that a loved one has transitioned and are near. You may see a bird hanging around the window or perhaps in front of your path unafraid of you, but staring you down. Other animals that can be signs are dragonflies, ladybugs, robins, blue jays, and in many cases, Spirit comes as an owl.

♥ Coins, Feathers, and small objects can come more frequently and repeatedly until you realize someone is trying to get your attention or validate they are near and wanting to communicate with you.  Again, Spirit likes to place things in our path to grab our attention.  Finding coins in the oddest places give question and curiosity of how did they arrived there. Acknowledge your passed loved one and send them love or chat with them, and let them know you see their messages.
♥ Flickering lights and electrical activity was one of my first experiences with Spirit and 80 percent of my clients experience this during their readings. Energy is too easy for Spirit to manipulate –flickering lights, the TV or radio going off or on, the phone ringing once or multiple times, or some have reported a device begins to make a noise. One experience I love to share is a family member received a text from me to call me, yet my phone was charging on ‘airplane mode’ at the time in question and I didn’t text him!♥ Scents can bring back the best memories and some passed loved ones come with a memorable smell, like Grandma’s apple pie and Dad’s pipe or brand of cigarettes.  We remember that perfume Mom wore and a wonderful aroma will fill the room when they are visiting you in Spirit.  The smell of a favourite food or fragrance of a special flower can associate with your loved one, and on occasion, it could be a funky odour too (they sometimes have a crazy sense of humour!).♥ Movement and displaced objects tend to really get your attention because on occasion, Spirit can move items with little effort. Remote controls go missing and reappear on a regular basis and you think you’re going crazy.  Perhaps the pictures on the wall are off centre or fall off the wall for no reason. An item of sentimental value goes missing and you find it in a place you know you checked before.. Let them know they have your attention and perhaps ask them to stop.♥ Sounds include hearing voices or music that relates to the loved one who has passed. Some Spirits try to communicate using their voice and so you may hear your name loud and clear but no one is around to call to you. Another sign a loved one is close is through music, such as a favourite or meaningful song playing over and over or at very significant times.
These signs could be a coincidence to some; however, in my life, experiences such as these are loved ones looking to connect and let you know they are near, sending love and always supporting you.

Mercury Retrograde-What does this mean?

Many of my clients hear we are in Mercury Retrograde, but what does this mean?  Let me try to explain it the best way I understand it.

In Astrology, the way the planets align in our Universe at different times of the year can influence us differently. When Mercury is in retrograde, our emotions run higher and perceived “bad” things happen – things just go awry.  Somehow, the planets appear to be traveling backward through the zodiac; this is an illusion, and this illusion is called retrograde motion.  Mercury appears to go backwards about four times a year for several days and sometimes for weeks! During this time, people experience feelings of being in a fog or off kilter, their anxiety and frustrations are up, and they are angrier, which makes communicating more difficult.  If you are an empath, you may find yourself blocked where you usually feel highly sensitive and intuitive.

You may have felt the shift over the years, but could not put a name to it until now – Mercury Retrograde.  Experience has taught me to be aware of these times and recognize you have to plan ahead, be prepared, and be flexible.  To name a few, Mercury rules communications, clear thinking, travel, vehicles, contracts/budgets, and electronics. So, when the retrograde occurs, take extra time to travel, avoid signing contracts and making final decisions, or buying a major purchase.  Small appliances and vehicles tend to glitch or breakdown, or technical difficulties happen with your electronic equipment, computer, or website.  You cannot stop living your life, so just remember that what you thought would happen in any situation during Mercury Retrograde could look different later on.  If you are hiring new personal, you will have difficultly choosing the right person for the job – if you can, hold off hiring.  If you are buying a new car, problems could creep up later that were completely unanticipated.  Double check any flights or transportation schedules, and take a book with you to keep occupied. Back up your data on your systems!  It is said to definitely not start a new relationship, new job, or long term projects.

During 2017, Mercury goes retrograde four times and if your sign is noted, you may feel this even more than other times:

December 19th, 2016 to January 8th, 2017 in the sign of Capricorn to the sign Sagittarius

April 9th to May 3rd in the sign of Taurus to the sign of Aries

August 12th to September 5th in the sign of Virgo to the sign of Leo

December 3rd to December 22 in the sign of Sagittarius

Ways to make the most of Mercury Retrograde:

  • One of the best ways to get through is “go with the flow” and be sure to not take things to personally. Things can be said that are really not intended.
  • Get together with old friends and have fun during this time – reminisce.
  • Go down memory lane and re-listen to old music.
  • Clean out your closets (this is a life changer every time I do).
  • Relax and take care of yourself.  Get the old checklist out:
    • Getting enough sleep – a solid 8 hours
    • Drinking lots of water
    • Light exercise and stretching
    • Epsom salt bath
    • Read – turn the tv off earlier
    • Research how rejuvenate your sacred space
    • Rewrite personal goals and rework you mantra

This is a good time to reflect on areas of life and what we need to work on a little more. It is a time to finish projects that have been at loose ends and file things away forever so we can move forward with clear eyes and minds. This time might reveal breakthroughs intellectually, emotionally, or spiritually with new perspectives created. I had read that Mercury Retrograde “is a perfect to take part in anything that starts with re- except “react!”  So it is time to refresh, revive, review, reboot, rebound, recall, reconcile, recover, reflect, recycle, re-elect, research, refinish, refocus…you get the idea!

Stay aware of the four 2017 Mercury Retrograde cycles as it will pay you dividends to take an extra few moments for a second and third look before you move forward!

How to Transition to the New You with Ease

Have you felt overwhelmed, fragile or disorganized?

Whether we are aware or not, we are all continually transitioning, moving forward, and under-going a process that has brought us where we are today.

One day you stop and realize that you are where you once dreamt you would be, wondering how you exactly got there. Another day, you know exactly how you have arrived and where you stand through the constant changes that occur during the day. In either event, it is extremely important to STOP, BREATH, AND LOVE the path you have chosen. The Universe is always listening to wishes and intentions sent—be at peace, they are answered and returned. Sometimes the timing can be off or everything will come at once. This may leave you overwhelmed and a bit confused, or you receive a wish when you may have changed your mind and it is not what you truly wanted.

Life is always moving us forward, even when we feel stuck; know this is the Universe giving us time to find the clarity needed to move forward. It is a time to remove old intentions and clearly set new ones.

Reflecting and evaluating is what I am sharing with you to help ease your way through every transition.

Take the time for yourself to review, reflect, and re-evaluate all that has occured in your world. Journal your discoveries and you will have a place to start again for the next time you feel the shift happening.

Find a point in time to start from and where you are right now. Perhaps it is your relationship or your career. It could be your dreams of travel, owning business, or a home – any point important to you will do!

Look at your life events or challenges and love where you have come from because it has brought you here today.

Forgive yourself – that was the best you could do with what you knew at any point of time.

Value yourself – trust you are exactly where you are supposed to be.

Embrace the perceived failures or regrets – they are all perfect lessons designed for you.

Let go of any judgment – it was necessary for you to get here. A good time to forgive those who may have triggered emotions and realize there is a gift in it for you.

Thank yourself for the opportunities and challenges taken, for they have made you a stronger person. Now realize that each experience is needed for the experience. Honour yourself by taking time to slow down, rest, and tune-in with simply being in your own vibration. Be still and you will see. Thank your old self with love and gentleness so it allows the big shift you have been experiencing to seamlessly integrate.

Gratitude is key to welcoming your shifts and expansions. Be happy; you are blessed with where you are and what you have at this given moment. Always find at least 5 things you can be grateful for every day – it will allow you to receive what is yet to come.

Intentions can be re-evaluated and set again.  Be mindful of what you are intending. Be clear, be positive, and be ready to receive.  Cancel, clear, and delete any intentions you are no longer in alignment with. You are ready to move forward again! Once you learn the laws of the Universe, then step by step, you will begin see results in creating the life you desire.

Ask for Support if you are finding it difficult to move forward. Take the time to ask the Universe, your Angels, and Spirit for signs that you are heading in the right direction.  Ask for support from me; I have experience in coaching or guiding people through a transition.  Know I am here to help make your journey as enjoyable as possible.

Full Crow Moon or Full Worm Moon – March 12, 2017

“In March, the ground softens and earthworms emerge, inviting the return of the robins; the Full Worm Moon. The northern tribes called this month’s full moon the Full Crow Moon — since the cawing of crows signals the end of winter — or the Full Crust Moon because the snow cover becomes crusted from thawing by day and freezing at night. The Full Sap Moon, marking the time of tapping maple trees, is another name for this moon.”

This spring has yet to come in some areas we live in, there is still snow covering the land that rarely see such a long winter season. See the snow and like our challenges we hold, let them melt away and release them in the light of the Full Moon. Visualize the snow melting away and see the new beginnings coming up like little snow drops and grasses through the soil. In this Full Moon the seeds you have planted have started to grow now gently weed out pieces of that now longer work for you.

A FULL MOON RELEASE RITUAL
What you need: pen, paper, matches, candle, two small bowls, water
If possible do this outside under the Full Moon, connecting directly with Mother Nature and the Moon’s energies.
If you cannot be outside, find a quiet place indoors.

Clear your energy.

Imagine standing under a silver waterfall and allow all negative and non-serving energies to be washed away.
Create a sacred space. Find a quiet place to sit, declutter and clean, place crystals or other special items around you.
Light the candle, fill one small bowl with water – place both in front of you, along with the other empty bowl.
Take a few deep breaths, centre yourself and then begin to write on the piece of paper what you wish to release from your life, what limiting beliefs you want to be free from, what no longer serves you or what you want to let go of.
When you have finished your list, sign and date the page.
Breathe deep into your heart and declare “I now let this go. And it is so.”

Then place one corner of the piece of paper over the candle allowing the flame to light your page (throw the page into the empty bowl as it burns) watching the flames consume what you are releasing, the smoke taking your intention to the Universe. Please note:if your piece of paper struggles to light or burn, please consider if you are really ready to let this go! Only when you are willing to let go will the page burn – the faster the flames, the more willing you are to let it go.
Then place your hands in the bowl of water. Signifying cleansing of the old and opening to the new.
Remove your hands from the water and take a deep breath. Sit in silence for a moment. You may want to keep your candle burning for a while as you sit, allowing inspiration to spark.
This is only a suggestion of a ritual. Use your intuition to guide you. You may just want to sit with a lit candle and not burn your page. You may want to have a shower or jump into the ocean as part of a cleansing ritual. You may want to meditate on what to let go of rather than write it down.
Go with what works for you and what you feel comfortable with. It all comes down to intention. As long as your stay centred in why you are doing things in a certain way, the results will follow as you intended them to.

FIRST FULL MOON OF 2017 (FULL WOLF MOON)

The full moon of January 2017 is blazing brightly in the skies tonight (Jan. 11). The moon technically reaches its full phase tomorrow morning (Jan. 12) , but skywatchers can get an eyeful of an apparently full lunar orb both tonight and tomorrow night. … Thus, the name for January’s full moon.

During the full moon it is a powerful time of letting go and releasing things that no longer serve you, what you no longer need in your life or an opportunity  to let go of an aspect of yourself you have outgrown.  The full moon energy is powerful and intense ~especially after your New Moon Intentions 2 weeks ago.  A perfect time to take   action;  purge, unburden yourself of any fears of change, a relationship/job/plan and the energy attached to it, the belief you are not good enough, worrying about money or searching for answers externally rather than going within.

Fire and water are great symbolic ways of purifying.

Fire – consumes, burns away the old
Water – cleanses, washes away

A Full Moon Release Ritual

What you need: pen, paper, matches, candle, two small bowls, water

If possible do this outside under the Full Moon, connecting directly with Mother Nature and the Moon’s energies.

Today, I am sharing from the Intuitive Astrology: November New Moon 2016. This New Moon energy is very exciting and know we all could grow and learn from this information. I love the New Moon practice and understanding what cycles we are in makes it even more powerful.  Astrology is aspect of intuitiveness and understanding I have great respect for.

Out of the ashes and into the light, this New Moon is going to be helping us to think bigger and open our hearts to a new wave of positive and abundant energy.

The New Moon represents the starting of a new cycle. The last New Moon fell in the watery, intuitive sign of Scorpio. In this cycle we were all encouraged by the Universe to dig deep and uncover hidden emotions in order to release them.

November brings a new cycle however, which will kick into gear on the Sagittarius New Moon, which falls on the 29th. If Scorpio energy was beckoning us to go into the darkness within, Sagittarius energy is going to be beckoning us to stretch out into the light.

We have spent enough time in the darkness and in the shadows and now it is time to re-emerge into the light and start expanding our views and opening our hearts.

November’s New Moon is going to be sending waves of energy that will allows us to see things from a higher perspective and will open our awareness to new realms and new waves of thinking.

Sagittarius energy is electric, positive and most importantly, open minded and all of this energy is going to be on offer to us if we tune into it.

The Sagittarius New Moon is also going to trigger a cycle of awakening. In many ways, we are going to feel reborn and replenished after a long and hard year of cleaning out the metaphorical closets.

2016 has been a year of endings and now we are starting to wind down with the endings so we can make way for the new.

The November New Moon is going to be supporting this cause and it is likely that new and exciting opportunities may emerge around this time, almost like the Universe is offering us a gift.

The Sagittarius New Moon is also going to shift our awareness away from what we have let go of and onto where we are now.

In fact, this New Moon energy is going to be helping us to reflect and celebrate just how far we have come and just how much we have achieved. We all deserve to honor, thank and nourish our souls for the last 11 months.
The New Moon is also going to be highlighting our creative potential to manifest and go after what it is that we really desire.

If there is something that you want to achieve, if there is something you want to change in your life, this New Moon is the perfect time to put plans into place.

This New Moon is going to support you to think bigger, to be optimistic and to focus your attention on the best possible outcome. Aim high and go big on this New Moon, because that Sagittarius arrow is going to be helping you to hit your mark.

The November New Moon is also supercharged for romance and love. If you are single, this New Moon could bring about the perfect opportunity to meet someone special.

If you are in a relationship, bonds may be strengthened or weaknesses may emerge so you can heal and strengthen them for the future.

Soulmate energy is also high around this New Moon, so it is likely that we are going to have a lot more people making Soulmate connections during this time.

On a global level, this is going to help raise the vibration surrounding love, partnership and communication.

Soulmates don’t have to just be romantic; Soulmates can be anyone that comes into your life to awaken and stir your soul.

Under the cycle of this New Moon, pay attention to people you meet or to any synchronistic messages that may be delivered, as you may just be receiving a message that your soul needs to hear.

This New Moon is also going to be amplifying intuitive and Divine energy as well. The right opportunities may line up for you, or you may receive a powerful message from the Universe or your Spirit team.

In fact, spirit energy is going to be high under this New Moon and much more accessible for those who are interested in tuning in.

On a final note, the November New Moon has a very positive and upbeat energy to it. If you have been feeling low, this New Moon may just give you the boost you have been looking for.

Embrace this energy, stay open minded, open your heart and watch what flies in. All that you have been working so hard for this year is now coming to fruition under this Moon cycle, so celebrate and enjoy it. You have earned it!

Super Moon November 14, 2016 is the closest the moon has been since 1948 and will return 2034. So, what better time than now to kick off our own personal full moon rituals?

Do A Quick Cleanse 
Cleansing rituals are always useful, but they’re particularly relevant to the Mourning Moon, the last full moon before the winter months. Tradition holds that, at this time of year, we should let go of anything that doesn’t serve us — a bad habit, a difficult relationship, or needless grief. That way, when the year comes to an end in a matter of months, we’re already free from anything that was holding us back.

Just Go Outside
Though it might not be as balmy as it was back in June, going outside (and not just doing it for the ‘gram) during a full moon can still do wonders for your mindset. Some people suggest moon-bathing by taking a stroll around your favourite park or neighbourhood, you should be able to feel the renewing effects of the moon.

Charge Your Crystals
The full moon has major regenerative effects on healing crystals of all kinds. Think of it as an engine tune-up — leave your stones out overnight where the moonlight can touch them, whether outside or on a windowsill, and by morning their energetic properties will be renewed and realigned. Don’t worry about charging all of your crystals if you’ve amassed a bit of a collection, but it’s recommended that you make sure to charge any you use regularly.

Get To Manifesting
As we’ve discussed previously, full moons afford a natural opportunity to look inward and determine what you need most at this moment. Whether you spend the night journaling or meditating, the moonlight will lend a greater sense of clarity to your thoughts. Now is a perfect time to think about yourself apart from everything else that’s going on around you — in doing that, you’ll know better how to proceed. Reflect, set a plan, and see it through.
